| | The R&R Respite Care Center is a group respite, social adult day center in Wickenburg, Arizona and is designed to provide care to frail elderly, and adults with physical or mental disabilities, enabling them to remain in their homes as long as possible, while providing their caregivers with a much needed and deserved break from providing care. We are dedicated to facilitating optimum independence, while valuing human dignity and seeking to enhance the quality of life for all involved. R&R Respite emphasizes supervised physical, social, cognitive and creative activities designed to develop individual strengths and decrease barriers to functioning. Daily activities consist of exercise, games, parties, trivia, reminiscing, arts & crafts, movies, books, special events, pet therapy, puzzles, intergenerational activities, educational programs and entertainment. Some participants attending the center require assistance with the activities of daily living, ADLs (e.g., eating, bathing, dressing) and some require assistance with instrumental activities of daily living, IADLs (e.g., shopping, making and keeping appointments, ) R&R Respite also provides transportation and lunch for participants, as well as two snacks per day. |
